Inca Trail

Departure dates:

  • First Class: See prices and departure
  • Premium: Almost daily.

The world famous Inca trail, that when you check out the books can't be missed on your list of hikes. It takes you over ancient Inca trails, along strategic ruins, over high peaks (highest peak 4200m). Slowly you go down from the Cloud Forest into the Tropical Lowland Forest and finish with an amazing few of Machu Picchu.

IMPORTANT: Due to very strict new Inca trail regulations, reservations have to be made with a minimum anticipation of at least 35 days.

FIRST CLASS

(5 days-4 nights) This trail takes you to Machu Picchu on a slower pace than all other itineraries. Apart from this, service is excellent and every single detail is provided!

  • Day 4 During this trip we will visit Machu Picchu twice on day 3 at sunset and on day 4 during sunrise! A very different experience! On day 4 we go down to the village down Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes) and stay there for the night in a hostel.
  • Day 5The next morning we wake up very early to catch the first bus to Machu Picchu, where we have a guided tour and enough time to explore Machu Picchu on our own.

PREMIUM PLUS

(4 days-3 nights) This trail has a different program than the former Inca trail. This trail is differently distributed.

  • Day 1-3 Today we have start early and arrive before the big crowds and start our uphill hike of a few hours. We walk every day more than the former described Inca trail in order to arrive on Machu Picchu on day 3 at sunset! A very different experience! We go down to the village down Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes) and stay there for the night in a campsite (optional in a hostel).
  • Day 4 The next morning we wake up very early to catch the first bus to Machu Picchu, where we have a guided tour and enough time to explore Machu Picchu on our own.

PREMIUM

(4 days-3 nights) This is the so-called 'standard' Inca trail.

  • Day 1 Is a sort of 'warming up, as we only hike a small part of the trail.
  • Day 2 Is much harder work as we have to hike uphill.
  • Day 3 This is the most difficult day as we have to pass a top of 4200 meter and than go down hill. Slowly we walk into the Cloud Forest
  • Day 4 The last day we have to wake up early and hopefully have a spectacular view from Intipunkti (Sun Gate) over Machu Picchu. From here we walk in approx. an hour to Machu Picchu, where we enjoy an interesting guidance and if there is time and energy left you can decide to climb on Huayna Picchu.
